A 53-year-old businessman, Kinsley Abu, who defrauded one Nurudeen Umaro of N10 million was arraigned before a Wuse Zone 6 magistrates’ court, Abuja.
According to the police prosecutor, sometime in October, 2020, the defendant, who is the CEO of Mizi-Ita Nigeria Limited, approached the plaintiff that he was awarded a contract by NNPC Pension Fund Limited and convinced the plaintiff to pay N10m into Mizi-Ita’s account number to enable him execute the contract.

The prosecution further said that the defendant executed the contract and was duly paid for the contract but failed to repay the money, and instead disappeared.
The Magistrate, Musa Abubakar Sadeeq, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N5m and two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to June 6.
