Prominent philanthropist and businessman, High Chief (Dr.) Christopher Chukwunwogo Ndubuisi, KSJI, popularly known as Ikenga Umuawulu, has donated five brand new Toyota Hiace buses to support the re-election campaign of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo.

The presentation took place on Monday, September 29, 2025, during Governor Soludo’s official visit to Umuawulu for the commissioning of several community projects executed by Ikenga Umuawulu. The visit highlighted what many observers described as one of the most extensive private development efforts in the state.

Among the projects inaugurated were 30.5 kilometers of standard roads constructed across Umuawulu and neighboring communities — a contribution Governor Soludo commended as a model of citizen participation in governance. He praised Ikenga Umuawulu for aligning his initiatives with the state government’s People’s Power and Community Partnership (PPCP) agenda, which promotes collaboration between government and local actors.

“This is the spirit of a patriotic son helping to build a livable and prosperous homeland,” Soludo said.

In addition to the road projects, Ikenga Umuawulu launched an agricultural empowerment scheme tagged We Must Farm, designed to boost food production and support local cooperatives. To kick-start the initiative, he distributed five tractors, truck-cycles, hybrid seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other farm inputs to farmers in the community.

He also donated 3,500 bags of rice to residents and installed over 5,000 solar-powered streetlights across Omaola and adjoining areas of Umuawulu to improve night-time safety and enhance community infrastructure.

The presentation of the five campaign buses to Governor Soludo formed the climax of the event. The gesture, which drew loud applause from the crowd, was received with appreciation by the governor, who thanked Ikenga Umuawulu for his consistent support of the state’s development agenda.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ikenga Umuawulu said his interventions were inspired by Governor Soludo’s leadership style and commitment to community-driven development.

“Governor Soludo is driving the vision of a livable and prosperous homeland,” he said. “I am motivated by his people-centered governance to continue contributing my quota toward the growth of our communities.”

The event was attended by government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth groups who lauded Ikenga Umuawulu’s contributions as an example of private partnership in grassroots development.
