Blasphemy: Abduljabbar to know fate Thursday

A Kano Higher Shari’a Court sitting at Kofar Kudu has set aside Thursday, 15th December 2022 as the day to pronounce judgement in the case of blasphemy involving Islamic cleric, Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara.

 Kabara is standing trial over alleged blasphemous statements against the holy prophet Muhammad (PBUH) capable of inciting public peace.

 The Public Relations Officer, Kano Shari’a Courts, Muzammil Ado Fagge made this known in a statement.

 Abduljabbar was charged before the court in July 2021 by the state government before Justice Ibrahim Sarki Yola.

 The case has since then been in the public eye till date.

 Daily Trust reported that the Upper Shari’a Court sitting in Kano presided over by Justice Ibrahim Sarki Yola had fixed September 29, for the adoption of final written addresses in the ongoing trial of Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara.
