One of Nigeria’s leading blockchain technology companies, Convexity, said it has developed an app, The CHATS, that is currently boosting investor confidence and transparency on how donor funding is spent in Nigeria.
Addressing stakeholders at a round table discussion on Financial Transparency and Donor Trust event in Abuja, with the theme “Revolutionizing Humanitarian Aid Distribution: The CHATS
Platform”, the C.O.O, Convexity Technologies Limited, Mr. Adedeji Owonibi said the programme was aimed at showcasing CHATS as a tool for increased funding from Donors
and responsible accounting for impact projects.
His Words: “Our latest Application, The CHATS has led to a boost in investors’ confidence as well as promoted aid donors’ trust and financial transparency.
“The most important thing now is that donors with the aid of the app can track how their funds are spent, thereby boosting their confidence. Technology has taken over the world and we want to boost financial transparency with ours. So far, in the last eight years, Nigeria, a hub for digital companies, has birthed six technology companies with a market capitalisation of $1billion,” he said.
The Head of Investments and Partnerships at Convexity Technology Limited, Uyoyo Ogedegbe noted that “Data gotten through CHATS is verifiable and can be a source of truth and credibility to donors and partners. It also makes it possible to have measurable progress”.
