Blue Ivy won her first Grammy award on Sunday, making her the second youngest person to win the prestigious award.
The 9-year-old daughter of Beyonce and Jay- Z broke the record after Leah Peasall, who won a Grammy at the age of 8, in 2002.
Blue Ivy won in the category of ‘Best Music Video’ for the song, ‘Brown Skin Girl’ which honors the beauty of brown and black skinned women.
She won alongside her mother, Beyonce and the Nigerian Musician, Wizkid, whose combined efforts made ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
Blue Ivy also co-wrote the song which featured on 2019’s ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ soundtrack.
This is the second time Blue Ivy will win a reputable award for her role in making Brown Skin Girl.
