Bobi Grazing Reserve: Commercial milk collection to start May
This was made known at the end of a stakeholders meeting of Bobi Grazing Reserve held in Minna.
Niger State Government has announced that commercial activities will start fully at the Bobbi Grazing Reserve in May.
The activity will start with the commencement of commercial milk collection from farmers and pastoralists in the reserve.
This was made known at the end of a stakeholders meeting of Bobi Grazing Reserve held in Minna.
The commercial activity of milk collection will start with 100 pastoralists who will supply a minimum of 500 litres of milk from cows per day to the dairy companies in the reserve.
Also, the stakeholders agreed on N180 price of milk per litre.
The State Commissioner for Livestock and Fisheries, Hon. Haruna Nuhu Dukku, who was represented by the Director of Grazing Management, Dr. Baba Ibrahim acknowledged the huge investment made by the investors at the reserve emphasising that the state government was working assiduously to beef up security.
“With the commencement of dairy development, it is expected that the Presidential flag off will hold in June 2021,” he said.
