At least one body has been recovered after a building collapsed in a suburb in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, eyewitnesses told the BBC.
Seven people have also been taken out alive from the wreckage.
The BBC reports that a crowd gathered at the scene and rescue services pleading with people to move back.
It is not yet known what caused the building collapse.
Several small businesses had reportedly been occupying the basement and ground-floor levels of the building.
