A gang of suspected armed robbers has killed a Bolt driver in Abuja and stolen his car.
The victim, a resident of Kagini community, off the Kubwa expressway, was reportedly stabbed in the neck and left along the Gwarimpa-Kubwa expressway last Tuesday night.
He was taken to Kubwa General Hospital by a security patrol team, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
A health official at the hospital told Abuja Metro yesterday that the driver had lost a significant amount of blood and died while they were attempting to provide a blood transfusion to save him. His family members, who had been searching for him all night, came to the hospital the following day and retrieved his body for burial.
The victim, who was from Okene town in Kogi State, was buried later that same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
