A suspected bomber riding on a motorcycle along Kasuwan Mata area of Gombe town in Gombe state killed himself on Tuesday evening.
The incident took place at about 6:30 pm along kasuwan Mata when the bomb he was carrying exploded killing only him.
Sources told Daily Trust that after the explosion, an angry mob gathered and burned his remains at the scene of the explosion.
“The bomber was driving along the Kasuwan Mata road when suddenly the bomb he was carrying exploded killing him and damaging the motorcycle he was using. After the incidence a group of angry mob that were around when the incident happened gathered the scattered human parts and burned it to ashes,” the source said.
This is coming 14 days when another suicide bomber also got himself killed while 10 others were injured on at Mallam Inna, near the Gombe State University when he attempted to enter a church.
The Gombe state police spokesman DSP Fwaje Atajiri could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report.
