Our correspondent, who visited the area on Tuesday, observed that the council secretariat, General Hospital, police station, barrack, market and mosques, which were destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents, have been rebuilt.
He also observed that some projects which are under construction are at an advanced stage. Speaking to newsmen in Maiduguri, Governor Kashim Shettima said the contractors have January 2016 as deadline to complete the jobs.
He said the state government was also embarking on the construction of 800 housing units.
“The state government is embarking on the building of 800 housing units in Tamsu-Kawu and Maitakururi communities,” he said.
