Academic activities at the college were transferred to the nearby College of Education on account of ongoing renovation at its permanent site.
The college provost Mustapha Ali Mustapha said the college planned to move back to its permanent site to conduct second semester examinations in the first week of November.
At least three portions—a computer centre, registry department building and the college mosque—have been completed.
A 150-seat library, the school’s administrative block and parts of classroom blocks are yet to be fully renovated.
Mustapha said the school was satisfied with level of work, but insisted the school’s present learning environment since it took up temporary residence at the Borno College of Education was not “as comfortable as they were” on its own site.
He urged government and the contractors to speed up work in the intereste of thousands of students studying at the college.
