The police in Ondo State, yesterday, paraded the 27-year-old boyfriend and alleged killer of the daughter of a former Ondo deputy governor, Alhaji Lasisi Olugbenga Oluboyo.
The suspect, Saidu Sakiru Adeyemi, told journalists during his parade that he was jobless and was into Yahoo-Yahoo (Internet fraud) business as a means for survival.
Adeyemi, who said he was hoping to get a job through the father of the deceased, added that two men came to his room and killed Khadijat and buried her there after threatening him.
On why he did not report the matter to the police, he did not have an answer.
He also said that the deceased came to his house because of her project before she met her death.
The suspect’s father was said have reported the matter to the police after his daughter told him she stumbled on the corpse in her brother’s room.
The police earlier told journalists that the suspect was caught while trying to exhume the corpse of Miss Khadijat Oluboyo.
The command spokesman, Femi Joseph, said the suspect would be charged to court for alleged murder of the 25-year-old Level IV student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko within the next 24 hours while efforts were being made to arrest his accomplices.
