The House of Representatives member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency in Plateau State, Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, has described his ability to break the break the second-term jinx as proof that his constituents are satisfied with his representation.
Gagdi who is of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and has been in the House since 2019, was re-elected again in 2023, thereby making him the first person in the constituency to win a second term in office.
Speaking at the weekend with newsmen in Jos the Plateau State capital, Gagdi said since his people are satisfied with his representation and has unprecedentedly re-elected him again in 2023 due to his achievements, it is already a pointer to their continuing support and his success again come 2027.
He said the people of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam have shown him tremendous love and he would like to sincerely thank them so far, adding that he is glad that they acknowledge his efforts and developmental strides in the constituency also, and will continue to peform even more.
The lawmaker stated that he has often gone out of his means (constituency allowance) to sometimes help his people because of their needs, pointing out that there are other lawmakers who instead of doing so will rather claim state or federal government’s projects in their constituency as their constituency project, particularly SUBEB.
On the issue zoning, Gagdi pointed out that the zoning issue is more of a verbal than practiced.
He explained that if there was a cut-clear zoning arrangement in the constituency they shouldn’t have been contesting among themselves from the three local government areas, adding that all along aspirants from PKK have always been competing among themselves in and across political parties.
Gagdi emphasized also that even his opponents have never argued with his performance in terms of infrastructural developments, human empowerment, job placements for youths, among others.
