Former Speaker House of Representatives Aminu Bello Masari has emerged the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Katsina state for the 2015 general elections.

He polled 2, 470 out of the total 5, 266 vote cast to defeat nine other contestants.

Abubakar Samaila polled 106 votes, Senator Abubakar Sadiq Ya’adua got 215, while Abdul’Aziz Yar’adua polled 243.  

Arch Aliyu Ahmed 4 votes and Aminu Bello Masari, 2470 votes.

Dr Usman Bugaje polled 47, Sen. Kanti Bello 1, 327, Sada Ilu 468 and Abdullahi Aminci garnered 16 votes.
Speaking after the primaries results were announced early Saturday, Masari extended a hand of friendship to other aspirants, urging them to work with him for the tougher battle ahead.
