Police chase IPOB members from Nnamdi Kanu’s trial
The police on Monday chased some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who stormed the Federal High Court in Abuja for the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, their leader.

The police on Monday chased some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who stormed the Federal High Court in Abuja for the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, their leader.
Aggrieved members of the group had stormed the court ahead of his trial.

A man dressed in black even addressed some pressmen but he spoke in Igbo language.
“We are here to lend our support to our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, in this his trying times.”
“Once this trying time is over, it will be the last, and that we vow nobody can stop us here,” he said.
A woman also spoke to journalists at the court.
“We are here to support our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, in this time of trial. We are not pleased with the situation; we have not been pleased since he was arrested.
We are here today to make it obvious to our detractors that his stance is also our stance. We firmly stand behind him. We are not daunted. Whatever they say, we are here to stay.
“We stand behind our leader morning, noon and night. That way God the creator also stands behind him. The entire Biafraland stands behind him.
“We say nothing shall happen to him. If he could not be killed in Kenya, he cannot be killed in Abuja. And he shall be set free because we serve a true God.
“The creator who called him on this mandate shall work out his freedom. Whatever the crimes read out against him, he shall be set free. He shall be set free, and we shall realise Biafra, in the name of God.”
However, as their number increased, policemen stormed the place and chased them away.
