Witnesses told Daily Trust that the two male suicide bombers came to the Kano Line motor park and pretended to be on their way to Jigawa. The explosion went off in the car shortly after they boarded.

A similar incident occurred in Potiskum in a motor park earlier on Tuesday when a suicide bomber got into a load bus containing 10 passengers and detonated an explosive. Seventeen people died there according to hospital workers.
