Civil Rights activists, Nollywood actors and actresses as well as Secondary School children have besieged streets within and around Lagos Government House Alausa, Ikeja now as they protest the abduction of female students of Government Girls College, Chibok, Bornu State.

Leader of the protesting group who is also the national coordinator of Women Arise, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin said the movement of protest that has just begun in Lagos is to be mobilised in the days ahead in Kaduna, Enugu, Onitsha, and many others cities across Nigeria. Odumakin though applauded the offer by international community to rescue the girls, she nonetheless deployed the slow and lethargic approach on the part of Nigerian security operatives and government.

The scion of anikulapo Kuti family and a popular musician, Femi Anikulapo Kuti also said the release of the abducted girls is non-negotiable even as he called for concerted effort in getting the affected Girls released.

Also, popular actor, Jide Kosoko, said this is not the time for Nigerians to stand aloof but to unite against the terrorist group, Boko Haram. Kosoko urged Nigerians not to be divided by the antics of Boko Haram with the claim that they are fighting for a particular religion. He said all religion adherents, either muslims or Christians are suspectible to the havoc of the group.
