A 52-year-old bricklayer, Kolawole Sunday, has been sentenced to one month in prison for fraudulently obtaining N95,000 with the pretense to build a fence for a client.
The Magistrate, Mr Saka Afunso, sentenced him after he pleaded guilty of count out of the three counts levelled against him.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Inspector Olasunkanmi Bamikole, told the court that on January 15, the defendant obtained N95,000 from one Mrs Funmilayo Oluwadare to build a fence for her.
Inspector Bamikole further said that on the same date the defendant stole two turkeys valued at N140,000, property of Mrs Oluwadare.

Inspector Bamikole said that after receiving the money, the defendant absconded.
