Speaking on the movie, Etim said, “When I was given the script, I couldn’t but say yes. The storyline is very touching; it was a real life scene to me. Being on set with Kalu Ikeagwu and Bimbo Manuel was a nice experience. ‘Broken’ is my most emotional movie till date, the experience will linger for a long time.”
‘Broken’ is an emotional flick centered around the lives of two adults and past lovers, Nse Ikpe Etim and Kalu Ikeagwu, once married, got separated and along the line, their lives were later thrown into chaos as mistakes of their past lives including the aftermath of the children they failed to bring up properly in their selfish union, come haunting their present as asylum, death-row and street living mar their once sane lives.
The movie directed and produced by Bright Wonder is set for release next Saturday. According to Wonder, “Broken is a social movie that addresses the menace of child abuse, neglect and trafficking. It exposes its adverse effects and repercussion on the Nigerian child and the society as a whole.”
