Brunel Poetry Prize closes 30 October

The Brunel University African Poetry Prize which closes 30 October is for 10 poems. Only poets who have not yet had a full-length poetry book published are eligible.
The prize is open to poets who were born in Africa, or who are nationals of an African country, or whose parents are African.
The winner gets £3,000 (US$4,640) which aims to develop, celebrate and promote poetry from Africa.
Now in its fourth year, the prize is sponsored this year by Brunel University and Commonwealth Writers. Brunel University London is a public research university, winner of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize in 2011 for Higher and Further Education.
