Many have been made to believe President Goodluck Jonathan has stakes there. But our investigations have shown that the world class residential housing facility belongs to BUA Group of Companies.
BUA Group which started business in 1988 as a Private Limited Liability Company specializing in the importation and marketing of iron & steel, agricultural and industrial chemicals is now fully into Real Estate businesses. Bua Group has developed similar topnotch estates in other parts of Abuja – in Asokoro and Wuse.
Bua Estate Kado has 208 duplexes with one-room Boys Quarter attached to each. All houses are stand alone with courtyards. Each has a main sitting room and family sitting room with five bedrooms, all air-conditioned and en suite. Furnishing of the rooms is left for the buyer because this is to be according to the taste of the occupant. The kitchen is fitted with necessary appliances. The houses have video bell which plays the visitor’s voice and captures the visitor’s face.
Facilities
Roads will be asphalted while compounds will be covered with interlocking tiles. There are 10 boreholes with pumping machines as well as overhead tanks and 24-hour electricity supply with synchronized generator. Security surveillance is 24 hours with necessary gadgets. There are shops, a clinic and a school.
For recreation, there is a swimming pool, gym, basket ball court, football pitch for five-aside and a four-kilometre jugging trail. There is a large green area.
Even garbage disposal is backed up. The estate managers will keep their waste disposal equipment ready so in times government waste collectors fail to come, the facility managers will roll out their machines. This is to ensure the place is perpetually clean.  
When Daily Trust visited the estate, the Managing Director of SPD and Realty Ltd Sani Oseni Zuwedu who is managing the facility said, “Based on our market research and need assessment, we’re building lifestyle. It’s a community of its own. We have Olympic size recreational facilities. It’s a final bus stop for all your needs. When you come with your property needs, we satisfy them. We’re contributing to the beauty of the municipality.”
Though some of the houses have been sold already, nobody has been allowed to occupy. This restriction according to Zuwedu is due to construction risks. Works are still ongoing so having families on site will amount to exposing residents to danger as machines are at work. But Zuwedu assured that by end of year, all the houses will have been completed and the place ready for habitation.
On purchase of a house, one is issued a Deed of Sub-lease. Dantata & Sawoe is the infrastructure contractor for the estate.
