Buhari accredited amidst low turn out

President-elect Muhammadu Buhari has been accredited for the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections in Daura, Katsina state.

 

Buhari was accredited around 8:15am in his polling unit at Sarkin Yara A, Kofar Baru III in Daura. 

 

The president-elect, who was accompanied by his wife Hajiya Aisha Buhari‎, was accredited by the INEC official using the card reader in about three minutes.

 

Unlike the presidential polls held two weeks ago, the turn out today looks low.

 

‎Buhari was escorted by heavy security. All telecom frequencies were jammed when he arrived for the accreditation.

 

Speaking shortly after his accreditation, ‎Buhari said he was impressed with INEC preparations, saying that he hoped there will be general improvement from the last poll held a fortnight ago.
