President Buhari’s genuine intentions for Nigerians are solidly in mind even with current predicaments of man’s inhumanity, kidnapping and killing of innocents citizens particularly in northern Nigeria.

Northern Nigeria has been facing unprecedented insecurity challenge ranging from kidnapping, armed banditry, Boko Haram among others.

With the recent merciless burning of travellers in Sokoto, the brutal killing of 15 worshipers in Niger, among other atrocities committed by these rogues, many northerners are angry with the president.

Many believe the government is incapacitated and has failed woefully in the fulfillment of its primary responsibility of securing the lives and property of citizens.

According to many, the events are bad to the image of the president who is from this part of the country and a former military general.

Many northerners are also not happy with the lack of empathy to the plights of those affected by the activities of the bandits by the president.

However, on the other hand, we can’t deny the fact that Buhari has done well in the revamping of education, health, agriculture, power, water, transportation, humanitarian and economic sectors of the country but note that lives matter ahead of everything.

It is on this note that I’m calling on the president to immediately do the needful by showing more sympathy to his people. His priority should be stopping the unnecessary killings across the land. Nigerians, on the other hand should appreciate the circumstances we found ourselves and assist the government to arrest the situation instead of throwing invectives against our leaders.

With no iota of doubt, there are some unscrupulous elements in our midst behind these gruesome acts. Therefore, Buhari alone shouldn’t be blamed.

We all have a role to play. Together we can make Nigeria a secure country. Buhari alone can’t do it. Therefore, all hands must be on deck through intensive prayers, self-sacrifice, patriotism and selflessness.
