Buhari’s death great loss to Nigeria – Sheik Jingir

National Chairman Ulama Council, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir

National Chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir, has described the demise of the former President Muhammadu Buhari as a great loss to the country.
Former President Buhari died on Sunday at a London clinic after a long illness.
Sheik Jingir described late Buhari as a man of integrity, truthfulness, and trustworthiness who throughout his life never allowed himself to be seen as a corrupt person, especially amongst his peers.
The spiritual leader, in a condolence message on Monday, on behalf of the group, said Buhari’s death will create a vacuum in the political landscape of the country.
The religious leader said, “We have indeed lost a great man in the country, and his demise will undoubtedly create a vacuum in the affairs of our great nation, considering the wealth of experience he had acquired while in service and as leader of the country.”
Sheik Jingir also noted that “while Buhari served as head of state and as President, we have never heard him involved in corruption. This has differentiated him from many others,” saying that this attitude attracted him millions of supporters within and outside the country.
While condoling the family of the deceased, the Islamic cleric called on Nigerians to emulate Buhari’s character and attitude, praying Allah to forgive him his shortcomings.
