Buhari’s Health: Jim Iyke, Aisha Yesfu join #ResumeOrResign protest

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke and Bring Back Our Girls Co-convener, Aisha Yesufu, today joined the protest calling for the resumption or resignation of President Muhammdu Buhari who has been away for medical treatments for over 90 days.

This will be the second time in 2017 the president will seek medical treatment in the UK.

The protest under the auspices of ‘Our mumu don do’ and ‘concerned Nigerians’ is led by musician Charly Boy and social media influencer Deji Adeyanju respectively.

#ResumeOrResign protest started on Monday, 7th August,2017, Today marks the third day of the daily sit-out at unity fountain in Abuja.

On Tuesday security operatives were reported to have used force, water and tear gas in effort to disperse the protesters and in the process Charly boy was said to have collapsed.

In reacting to his collapse former minister for Education, Oby Ezekwesili, chided Nigerians who made mockery of Charly boy’s situation.

She said “At 66 years, Charles Oputa is being beaten for his advocacy, YOU a young man/woman are insulting him. Go & do SOBER REFLECTION.”

Jim Iyke while speaking to press said “What we are asking for is simple, we are not saying we individually came here to elevate our life, we are saying enough is enough, You cannot run a country from outside another country.”

The police on Tuesday issued a statement denying the allegation while explaining that miscreants and hoodlums hijacked the protest as such they had to step in to avoid break down of law and order.
