The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor), has expressed deep sadness over the collapse of an uncompleted 7-storey building in the Victoria Island area of the state in the early hours of Sunday.

He called on the Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led government to be alive to its primary responsibility of protecting the lives and properties of the people of the state.

The collapsed building was reported to have trapped at least six people under the debris. Two of them were later reported dead.

Jandor, in a statement by the Head, Media and Communications, JANDOR4Governor Campaign Organization, Gbenga Ogunleye, stated that the incident could have been avoided if the APC-led government had been alive to its primary responsibility of protection of lives.
