A building contractor was yesterday docked before an Ikeja magistrate court, Lagos, for allegedly stealing a sum of N4.8 million belonging to Bishmur Company Limited, Lagos.
The police told the court that the accused person, Adesina Ojumu, 39, committed the offence on April 11, 2019 at No. 55, Karimu-Laka Street, Egbeda, Lagos.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Mike Umar, alleged that Ojumu obtained the money, property of Bishmur Company Limited, from Lasisi Olayiwola under the pretence of constructing 219 aluminium windows for the company.
Ojumu pleaded not guilty to the two criminal charges levelled against him.
Chief Magistrate A. A. Fashola ordered the accused person to be remanded in police custody and adjourned the case till September 16, 2019.
