The Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni has urged the new leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) to check the spate of crime and violence among suspected members of the association.
The governor made this call when the National President of MACBAN, Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma, paid a thank you visit to the governor, following his election victory.
Governor Buni also called on commercial banks to open more branches in the state to serve the people in the interior.
He said: “As new leaders of MACBAN, you should do something different to drive your members away from any form of crime and violence.

“You should also enlighten your members on the need to operate bank accounts to be in tune with the government policy of a cashless economy,” he said.
He said his administration was committed to providing equal opportunities to farmers and grazers to exploit the agricultural opportunities abound in the state.
Earlier, the national president of MACBAN said they paid a thank you visit to Yobe State governor, following his election victory.
