The Managing Director of Signal Alliance, Mr. Collins Onuegbu disclosed this in Lagos at an interactive session with ICT journalists on the expansion plan of the company.
According to him, SA has resolved to restructure its operations with a sister firm called SASWARE that will have its focus outside the already established bigger sectors to bring its wealth of management experience, ideas, and support to new ventures.
He noted that the new company evolved based on the understanding that there’s still a huge untapped space for growth in in the IT sector.
Onuegbu said SASWARE would be focused on new ventures and business development, mentorship and support and would also have its own Managing Director different from the Managing Director of Signal Alliance.
He said the decision to restructure started on the 1st of October this year and would end at the end of the year and he would cease from being the Managing Director of Signal Alliance to become the group Chief Executive Officer under the new arrangement.
He said: “A new venture company that’ll be a spinoff from this exercise which started from 1st of October 2013 is called SASWARE.  It will build on the existing management mentoring and support relationship between Signal Alliance and the Lagos Business School (LBS) to nurture new ideas in the sector. SASWARE’s efforts at new business ventures and support will be primarily focused on the IT sector for now. This is because the expertise garnered by the promoters has also been within the IT sector.”
