Sociocultural group, Middlebelt Youth forum (MBYF), has called on the Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to call off his men from invading business woman Aisha Achimugu house and harassing her mother.

Recall that earlier today the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had declared Achimugu wanted.

According to the EFCC, Achimugu is wanted by the agency in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering.

Hours later, reports emerged that the anti graft agency’s men invaded the business woman’s house in 51 Hassan Katsina Asokoro, Abuja, allegedly holding her mom hostage.

Reacting to the development, the sociocultural group in a statement by its spokesperson Comrade Meliga Godwin reitrated his earlier stance on the matter.

He said Achimugu is innocent of the allegations and is a victim of political witch hunt.

The group described the allegations as frivolous, baseless and a plot to tarnish the good image of the business woman and philanthropist.

They appealed to President Bola Tinubu to call the agency to order, saying that in line with his campaign promise of maintaining rule of law, the EFCC must not be used as a tool for some political actors.
