The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has picked the nomination and expression of interest form to seek a second term in office.

Candido, who collected the form at the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, assured all residents of more service should he get the mandate to chair the area council for a second term.

He said he hoped to consolidate on his performance with his second term agenda. “I am yet to be satisfied with the little I am doing, though so far, so fair.  When we get another opportunity, I think we can do much better than what is on ground.”

“I have picked the nomination form as an indication that I am running for a second term and by the grace of God the impression is to do more and more for the people of the area council,” he said.

He urged residents to approach the election with all sense of responsibility and civility.

“We must not allow thuggery to be part of our political activities and we should be prayerful for the nation and our leaders,” he said.
