A car wash attendant has allegedly disappeared with a client’s vehicle in Gwarinpa. 

The attendant identified only as John went away with a Honda Civic vehicle he was supposed to wash at a car wash centre in First Avenue. 

Police sources said the victim, identified only as Usman, reported at the station that the suspect he kept his vehicle with to wash returned to discover that John was missing along with the vehicle.

A police source said the owner of the car wash centre had promised to provide John or pay for the vehicle before John was found last week. 

The source said the suspect was found in Kagarko, Kaduna State and the vehicle was recovered from him. 

The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, confirmed the incident. 

He said the victim reported at the station that the boy was seen at Kagarko. 

“We assigned some detectives and they moved to Kagarko where they arrested John and recovered the car,” he said. 

He said investigation was in progress.
