A 25-year- old cart pusher identified as Mahmud has been stabbed to death during a street fight with another cart pusher in the Abule Egba area of Lagos.
The deceased was said to have engaged his suspected killer, one Musa Zayanu, in a heated argument that later degenerated into fisticuffs.
It was learnt that the incident occurred on Monday around 9am while the duo weresorting out what they collected the previous day from a refuse site.
It was further learnt that Musa allegedly grabbed a knife from a nearby wooden shark with which he stabbed the deceased.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, saying effort is on to arrest the fleeing suspect.
Hundeyin said the suspect allegedly stabbed the deceased with a knife on the left side of his stomach.
“The deceased bled profusely from the injury sustained and subsequently died as a result of the excessive blood loss.
“The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) visited the scene of crime, where a photograph of the deceased was taken and the knife used in the commission of the crime was recovered.
“Corpse evacuated by officials of the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit and deposited at Mainland General Hospital’s mortuary, Yaba,” he added.
