Three villagers have been killed in Nasarawan Fatika, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, after suspected cattle rustlers attacked their home Sunday night.
The incident occurred at about 10.15 pm, when the assailants invaded the residence to steal two cows and several sheep.
A community leader, who requested anonymity, identified the victims as Alhaji Sagir, Hassan and Muhammad, all from the same household.
“They came around 10.15 pm to rustle two cows and some sheep. In the process, they shot the three men—two died on the spot while the third passed away at Shika Teaching Hospital,” the source said.

The attackers fled with the stolen livestock.
Residents said the community had enjoyed relative peace in recent months following a local peace deal, with only occasional phone and motorcycle thefts reported—until Sunday’s killing shattered the calm.
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, said he would confirm details of the incident but had not responded as of press time.
