The Filindabo community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) came alive with pomp and celebration as Mr. Musa Moses Amiebenomo, popularly known as Celebrity Carpenter and founder of the Sagesse College of Traditional Carpentry (SCTC), tied the knot with Princess Aishatu Mamman Daksiri, a royal daughter from Adamawa State.

The royal nikah began with the wedding fatiha held at the Central Mosque, Abuja. The ceremony was presided over by Imam Prof. Luqman Zakariya and His Royal Highness Dr. Idris Musa (MFR), Emir of Jiwa.

Among those in attendance were the Hakimi (Dekashi) of Filindabo, HRH Muhammed Sani Paga; the Chief of the Hausa community in Filindabo, Abubakar Hassan; and several friends, relatives, and dignitaries from across the country.

HRH Dr. Idris Musa represented the groom and accepted the marriage on his behalf, while Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong, former Minister of Health (State) and former Minister of Foreign Affairs (State), served as the bride’s guardian (wali) and gave her away in marriage. Their presence lent further prestige to the royal occasion.

Following the fatiha, a convoy accompanied by a procession of horses moved to Filindabo for a grand reception attended by guests from diverse backgrounds.

The reception was a colourful display of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, featuring traditional dances, wrestling, music, and other cultural exhibitions by various ethnic groups.

Notable guests included HRH Edris Musa, Emir of Giwa; HRH Muhammed Sani Paga, Hakimi (Dekashi) of Filindabo; Oba Tajudeen Kolawole, Yoruba community leader; Abubakar Hassan, Hausa community leader; Chief Tochukwu Nzegbo, Igbo community leader; Dakachi Zauda; women and youth leaders; and representatives of the Gbagyi and Mai-Angwa communities. The event was compered by Abuja’s popular MC, Sarkin Dariya.

The bride, Princess Aishatu Daksiri Musa, expressed her joy and gratitude, saying, “I’m so elated with what I saw here today. The love shown to me and my husband is overwhelming. I will never forget this day.” She described her husband as a strong, compassionate, and caring man.

The groom, Mr. Musa Moses, thanked the Emir, traditional rulers, friends, business associates, and community members who came to celebrate with him and his bride.

Known for his contributions to both the entertainment and traditional sectors in Abuja, Celebrity Carpenter holds the traditional title of Garkuwan Matasa of Fillin-Dabo Dei-Dei in the FCT. Through his carpentry academy — the first of its kind in Africa — he has empowered many young Nigerians, providing them with skills and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
