One year after undergoing surgery abroad, Moses Amiebenomo, widely known as the Celebrity Carpenter, has returned to the spotlight with renewed energy and vision.
The celebrated craftsman and CEO of Sagesse De Dieu Ltd marked his comeback with a major announcement: a new luxury furniture showroom is set to open in Abuja this July.
His reappearance at several project sites across the city sparked widespread excitement among workers and clients, many of whom expressed joy and admiration for his resilience.
Known for his creativity, humility, and attention to detail, Amiebenomo wasted no time reconnecting with his team and commending them for their unwavering commitment during his absence. “I am truly proud of this team. Their dedication kept the vision alive while I recovered,” he said. “Now, we’re back—and we’re taking it to another level.”
While the nature of his surgery remains private, Amiebenomo described the experience as a brush with death that changed his perspective. Expressing deep gratitude to God for his recovery, he said, “This was a near-death experience. I came back to life with a renewed purpose—to serve, to build, and to empower.”
He revealed that preparations are already underway for the launch of his company’s flagship showroom, which will showcase a range of exquisite furniture pieces and fresh innovations. The event is expected to draw celebrities, design enthusiasts, and key industry players from across Nigeria.
Beyond his craftsmanship, Amiebenomo has earned praise for his dedication to youth empowerment. His Carpentry Academy, located in the Dei-Dei area of the FCT, has trained and mentored dozens of young Nigerians—many of them from underprivileged backgrounds. The initiative, which offers full scholarships, has been lauded by families and community leaders for its impact on youth development and economic empowerment.
In addition to his work through the academy, Amiebenomo has led numerous humanitarian efforts, including food and material support for struggling families during times of economic hardship. In recognition of his contributions, he was conferred with the traditional title of Garkuwan Matasa (Protector of the Youth) of Fillin-Dabo, Dei-Dei, in 2024.
As he resumes leadership of his brand, Amiebenomo hinted at plans to step down as CEO in the near future, allowing new leadership to emerge within the company.
He said this move would enable him to focus on expanding training opportunities and exploring new directions in furniture design and social impact.
“My journey has taught me that impact outlives titles. It’s time to multiply the work and give others the platform to lead,” he said.
