Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja, Okafor, the National President, Nigerian Association of Computer Science Students, gave the domain name of the platform as “www.naijja.com’’.
According to him, the website is an interactive platform for people to showcase their different landscapes, tribes, religion and demography and contribute positively toward the growth of the country.
“I strongly believe that Information and Communication Technology can be used as a veritable tool to bring about peace and national development.
 “This belief, and many more have led me to develop an online platform, www.naijja.com, where Nigerians within and outside the country can sign up for free and make their own contributions.
“This platform which is currently royalty free and advertisement free was developed and launched by me.
“It is with hope that as Nigeria turns 100, Nigerians will be able to share what we might have missed by reliving the past.
“It will also be useful in celebrating our achievements, expressing our displeasure and more importantly, sharing solutions.
“It is also useful in sharing ideas on how we can move ahead as a nation and as a people in all the sectors. If well used, the platform could play a major role in sensitizing people on the way Nigeria and its people should evolve.” (NAN)
