Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) has called on the Federal Government and affected state governments to commence immediate resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in terrorism ravaged communities of the North Eastern parts of the country.
Executive Secretary of the Centre, retired Air Commodore Yusuf Anas made this known yesterday at a press conference organized by the Centre in Abuja.
According to him, affected states and the federal government should begin to work out programmes and modalities towards permanent resettlement of the IDPs so that they could be reintegrated into the communities to pursue their normal livelihood.
He explained that the Centre believes beyond the provision of succour at the IDP camps there was need for a more permanent arrangement to be put in place immediately.
