Champions of faith (II)

4. They Act on divine revelation. Champions of faith are Doers. Abraham left his people when God asked him to. He circumcised all the males in his house the same day God told him to do so. He took Isaac to the top of a Mount in Moriah to sacrifice him there when God asked him to. Let us see where he ended. Gen 24:35 “35And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and He is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.” The poor widow went to prepare her last card for the prophet Elijah when asked to do so. She experienced the miracle of multiplication. Moses pointed his rod at the Red sea when God asked him to do so. The sea divided. There is no shot cut to the top. Obedience to the revelation you receive from God’s word is your access to the top. But there is a difference between mental agreement and belief that is from the heart. Mental agreers agree with the word of God preached but they do not develop enough persuasion to act. When belief is from the heart, it is evidenced by action.
Talking about Abraham, the bible says he was fully persuaded concerning the promise of God. “19And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.” Rom 4:19-21
5. They recall their previous victories. Testimonies are instruments of supernatural empowerment. Bishop David Oyedepo said, “Testimonies are not mere stories, but evidences of the faithfulness and integrity of God, the infallibility of scriptures and the immutability of His counsel. They are triggers for victory in spiritual conflicts, as they energize the inner man for exploits. That is why those who don’t mind testimonies keep struggling with trials.” David was empowered by his previous testimonies when he confronted Goliath. He said to himself, “God who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the bear will also deliver me from this uncircumcised Philistine.” He ran towards Goliath, killed him and chopped off his head. It does not have to be a personal testimony; someone else’s testimony is still as potent. Those who recall their testimonies overcome the adversary. If He did it before, He will do it again!
6. They are persistent in trusting God because they judge him faithful. They believe that if God said it, it must be true. If God said it, it must come to pass. Those who quit, question the integrity of God. But champions of faith know their covenant position and so refuse to bow to any pressure.
7. They Win, big time! Champions of faith win not because they don’t have problems but because they have faith.Wisdom is justified of her children. They produce results that all can see. Read Hebrews11 and you will see the exploits of champions of faith. You cannot lay claim to possessing faith until you produce proof in your life.
Let me close with the story of a young lady with an interesting name. Pastor Jamal Bryant was in London to minister. One of the people he prayed for was a young lady who had an interesting name. When the pastor asked her what her name was, she said, ‘Evidence’. Her parents named her Evidence because they had waited patiently in prayer and faith for a child. She came after 12 years. She became the evidence that God answers prayers.
This year, there will be evidence in your life. You will hold your proof in your hand. You will have your miracle husband, wife, pregnancy and child, car, house or whatever it is you have been trusting God for.
Hannah said, “For this child I prayed”. Samuel became the proof of God’s faithfulness.
After this meeting, you will have your proof. Your miracle will be your proof. You will see and hold your child. You will see and drive your car, dedicate your house, your business etc.
This is the year of supernatural manifestations in every area of your life. Your will experience the glory of God in a way you have never done before. Remember, it is not of him that willeth or him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. From now, you will become a proof-producer.
Deut 28:1 “1And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”
Do you want God to lift you and set you above all nations? All you need to do is “to observe and to do” all his commandments.
Champions of faith act on what they hear. They act because they believe. You too can become a champion of faith today.
Make a commitment to become a Doer of the word of God no matter how tough and frightening the situation may look like. This is the year of Doers. Champions of faith obtain uncommon results because they Act on what they know. This year you will have uncommon results!
Say out loud, I can’t lose! I can’t fail, I can’t go down; I’m a champion of faith! I am a doer! Get ready for uncommon results!
