Chaos in Ring: Lagos set for World-Class boxing showcase

Balmoral Group Promotions, in partnership with AK Promotions, has confirmed a world-class boxing spectacle to hold in Lagos on Independence Day. The event will stream live on DAZN.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the show will mark Oct. 1 with a historic display of big-time boxing for a global audience.

Nigeria’s premier promoter, former Olympian and World Champion Amir Khan, and Balmoral Group Promotions CEO Ezekiel Adamu, are the key sponsors behind the groundbreaking event.

They said the event would feature international icons and local talent, reflecting Nigeria’s pride and potential as a global hub for boxing entertainment.

The National Sports Commission of Nigeria has also endorsed the event.

Adamu said the Independence Day fight night represents a monumental step forward for African boxing.

“We are proud to showcase Nigeria’s immense talent and passion, celebrating our heritage and potential on a global stage,” Adamu said.

Amir Khan, CEO of AK Promotions, expressed excitement at the opportunity to spotlight Nigeria.

“This event will inspire a new generation, highlighting Nigerian boxers’ heart and skill alongside international stars. Lagos is ready to shine,” Khan said. (NAN)

Cruiserweight contender Brandon Glanton (20-3, 17 KOs) will attempt to avenge his previous loss against Liverpool’s Rocky Fielding (30-3, 18 KOs).

Glanton said he is determined to settle the score.

The boxing extravaganza, titled Chaos in the Ring, will be held at the Balmoral Event Centre, Victoria Island, and promises to be a landmark in Nigeria’s boxing history. (NAN)
