Chappal Energies has thrown weight behind the Nigeria’s Women’s Rugby League Team, the Green Falcons as they prepare to compete at the 2025 Rugby League World Series.

The Green Falcons will play their first World Series match today in Canada.

The country’s national team could make history to become the first African nation to qualify for the Women’s Rugby League World Cup series if they win their matches which would mark a defining milestone for African rugby and for women’s sport across the continent.

The World Series brings together four nations, Nigeria, Canada, Ireland, and Fiji, all competing for the final qualification slot for the 2026 Women’s Rugby League World Cup in Australia and Papua New Guinea.

The Green Falcons, composed largely of amateur athletes from modest backgrounds, have risen through grit and determination to represent Africa on the global stage, inspiring young women across the continent to dream beyond their circumstances.

The Managing Director, Chappal Energies Ufoma Immanuel reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to advancing opportunity, empowerment, and national pride.
