The Kibaku Area Development Association (KADA) has appealed to the federal government and the international community over persistent attacks and displacement in Kautikari town and surrounding communities in Chibok, Borno State.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the association’s National President, Nkeki Mutah and National General Secretary, Ayuba Chiroma in Abuja on Tuesday.
The association expressed concern over what it described as coordinated and recurring assaults by Boko Haram insurgents which have left residents in fear and forced many to flee their homes.
KADA said the situation in Kautikari and other Kibaku communities has become dire, with continuous attacks disrupting livelihoods, destroying property and worsening the humanitarian crisis in the area.
The association called for immediate and decisive action by security agencies to protect lives and restore peace, stressing that the people of the affected communities have endured prolonged suffering with little relief.
