On Tuesday the 20th of June, the second Chibok Stakeholder Engagement Forum held in Chibok, Borno State. It followed the first edition of the forum which was held in Maiduguri on April 26. The forum brings together all stakeholders and development partners involved in the PCNI/African Development Bank (AfDB) project in Chibok with the aim of enabling the exchange of ideas, information and the forging of collaborative relationships relevant to the fulfilment of the project’s goals. The project embodies the spirit and core ideals of the Buhari Plan as it is aimed at the holistic renewal of the community. It encompasses restoration of infrastructure (rebuilding and improvement of school structures), health (with particular focus on the community’s psycho-social needs), education (getting children back to school) and securing the community through capacity-building and enhancement of security consciousness. This latest forum provided an opportunity for PCNI and development partners to furnish the community with updates on the progress of the project. The PCNI team was led by Brigadier General H.M. Nyadar (rtd) who represented the Chairman Lt. Gen. T.Y. Danjuma (rtd).
