‘Oh Baby’crooner, Chidinma Ekile has launched her acting career with her role in Kunle Afolayan’s cross-cultural feature movie, ‘The Bridge.’

The movie which was released in cinemas across Nigeria, yesterday, has a romance-based storyline and also features the likes of Demola Adedoyin, Binta Ayo Mogaji, Zack Orji, Tina Mba, Adebayo Salami, Lere Paimo, Wole Olowomojuore, Lanre Hassan, Jimoh Aliu, and Mama Ray-Eyiwumi.

Produced by Lasun Ray and directed by Afolayan, the production which was supported by the Bank of Industry’s Nollyfund, tells the story of Stella (Ekile), a young lady from a distinguished Igbo family who falls in love and secretly marries Obadare (DemolaAdedoyin), a Yoruba Prince against her parent’s wish.The relationship became threatened by tribal prejudice and the consequences shook the very foundation and unity of both families.

Silverbird Distributions, in a statement, described the movie as a culturally conscious film with an equal touch of modernism, and pristine standard. It has announced that the cinema release and a star-studded premiere billed will hold today.
