The Ohimegye of Igu-Kotonkarfe kingdom in Kogi LGA of Kogi State, HRM Alhaji Salihu Saidu Akawu, has condoled the Ona of Abaji and Chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, HRM Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, over the demise of his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Adamu Yunusa.

Alhaji Akawu, who was accompanied by some of his palace aides and traditional title holders to condole the monarch at his palace on Sunday, said the news of the FCT monarch’s wife’s demise was shocking.

He described the passing of the late Hajiya Hadiza as a great loss, not only to His Royal Majesty and the royal family but also to the entire Abaji community and its environs.

He also prayed for Allah to give the monarch and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, while praying for Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest.

Similarly, the Akuuka of Wukari in Taraba State, Dr. Ishaku Asada Ali, has also condoled the monarch over the death of his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Adamu Yunusa.

Ali, who paid a condolence visit to the monarch at his palace on Sunday, expressed shock and sadness at the incident. He prayed for God to grant the monarch and entire family members the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Daily Trust had reported that the monarch’s late wife, Hajiya Hadiza Adamu Yunusa, died on Friday night after she reportedly went to the hospital for a medical check-up in Abaji.
