Children’s publisher calls for manuscripts

Anansesem, publisher of children’s and young adult fiction, poetry, non-fiction and illustration are currently welcoming new work from children’s authors and illustrators across the world.
The invitation is open to writers and illustrators at any stage in their career, including those below 16 years old.
The organisation gives priority to submissions by persons living in or originally from the Caribbean region, but is also open to work from Africa and anywhere around the world.
It is looking for content that “amuses, inspires and delights, and also, an age-appropriate writing that authentically reflects the values and attitudes of the Caribbean people.”
Anansesem is a biannual online-only children’s magazine. Run by a dedicated team of volunteers from various Caribbean countries, it was established in 2010 to encourage the writing and illustration of Caribbean literature for and by children.
