Although many expected the Governor to make some comments upon his arrival at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Emene, Enugu or at the Government House, Enugu, but he kept silent.
The crowd desired to hear from Chime who has not spoken to people of the state   since September last year when he went on vacation that eventually turned into his being hospitalized abroad. “Has he lost his voice?” many  in the crowd wondered, “but he is not known for being loud or noisy,” some others remarked.
Even reporters who wanted to hear from him were disappointed after waiting for long and not hearing from the governor. He merely waved and smiled at the crowd. He did not utter one word.
Chime, who had arrived Abuja, Wednesday from London, touched down at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu around 3.pm yesterday amidst cheers from the crowd of enthusiastic citizens who had gathered at the airport to welcome him.
He was welcomed on arrival by the Acting Governor, Mr Sunday Onyebuchi accompanied by his wife, Nneka, National and State Assembly members and other top government officials.
