China gives scholarships to 52 UNIZIK students

A total of 52 students from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, are currently studying at the Xiamen University in China under scholarships, the Vice President of the university, Professor Xian Chin Li, has said.

Professor Xian who made the disclosure while addressing lecturers and students of UNIZIK in Awka, said more opportunities would be made available in line with the agreement between the two institutions. 

“The institute will explore avenues aimed at providing more opportunities for students of the institute to have more scholarships to study at the Xiamen University of the People’s Republic of China,” she said.

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, said Xiamen University had excelled in medicine, architecture and technology, among others.
