A Chinese company in Nigeria, Lifemate Furniture has opened a showroom and also held an exhibition of its various products in Warri, Delta state.
The items displayed by the firm ranged from sofa, dinning table, bed, wardrobe, shelve office furniture among others.
Speaking with Daily Trust, the Showroom Operation Manager, Aminu Olayinka, said the company decided to open a showroom to create awareness of the new technology in furniture making and bring its various products closer to the people of the state and its environs.
According to him, with the Warri showroom the company has about 14 sales outlets across the country and would soon cover all parts of the country.
Olayinka explained that the company’s products are made in. Nigeria and that they only source some of the components that are not available in the country abroad.
He noted that one of the challenges facing it is the high exchange rate of foreign currency which he said is taking a toll on the company’s profit as they have to ensure not to over burden their customers in the end.
“We urged the government to create an enabling environment because we are concern about our customers. To reduce the burden we have come up with a policy that when a customer purchase our products both transportation and installation of the product are free if it is within the state,”
Some of the customers who bought the products commended the company for maintaining quality but however said the price is on the high side.
