American streaming service, Netflix, has gotten the exclusive rights to stream British-Nigerian actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor’s directorial debut, The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind globally.

The movie will feature a cast of actors including Chiwetel himself, Maxwell Simba, Lilly Banda, Lemogang Tsipa, Philbert Falakeza, Joseph Marcell and Noma Dumezweni.

It follows the life of 13-year-old boy who leaves school due to his parent’s inability to pay his school fees based on the best selling book of the same name by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer.

The Boy Who Harnessed the wind was shot in Malawi and focuses mainly on the importance of education in uplifting the lives of those is the village and the country in general.
